COLOR MAKES A
DIFFERENCE
Which color you should have on the lenses of your ski goggles/scooter goggles depends above all on what you are looking for. A lens that performs as well as possible in all weather and lighting conditions – or a specialized lens for specific circumstances.
For cloudy, dark and hazy environments:
- The best color of the ski goggles lens is transparent, yellow or pink
- You want contrast enhancement
- You want high light penetration
For bright, clear and sunny days:
- The best color for the lens of the ski goggles is black or silver
- You want low light penetration
- You can optionally opt for polarized lenses, which eliminate glare from surfaces that reflect a lot of light
Let's say you don't want to stick with interchangeable lenses, but you want an all-around lens:
- Lenses in colors like orange, red, blue, green and purple
- Lenses with medium light penetration
- Or a photochromic lens that adapts light admission to the environment
Fire clap about all-round lenses!
Those who choose all-round get easier use and save money, because you don't have to buy and keep track of several lenses. What you lose is the specialized feature.
